In this session, Partner Melissa Scadden and Associate, Nicola Martin, discussed the new Casual Conversion Provisions in the NES. This included what defines ‘regular’ hours for casual employees that may be entitled to permanent employment. They answered common questions asked in relation to award cover and whether the casual conversion provisions under the NES or a modern award takes precedence.
