Senior Associate

Janet has enjoyed a broad and diverse career in workplace relations and employment law. Prior to joining Justitia, Janet worked as an in-house employee relations advisor in the financial services industry. Janet has also had experience acting for employees and employers as well as working as an in-house lawyer at the national workplace relations tribunal, the Fair Work Commission. Janet is a problem solver and with her unique background, Janet is well equipped on how to best support an employer navigate the full spectrum of the employment cycle.

Areas of Practice

Janet practices in workplace, industrial relations and employment law. She is passionate about compliance and ensuring that employers understand their obligations.

Janet has experience with conducting compliance audits, award interpretation, assessing enterprise agreements to determine whether they meet the Better Off Overall Test, supporting the enterprise bargaining process, reviewing employment contracts and policies, conducting matters in the Fair Work Commission, workplace investigations, advising on ill and injured employees, performance management and termination of employment matters.
