Carlos Espinoza

Workplace Investigator

Carlos is an employment lawyer with over nine years of experience handling contentious and non-contentious matters under Peruvian legislation. Back in Peru, he supported employers across all aspects of employment relations, including general employment advice, high-stakes litigation, enterprise bargaining, health and safety matters, and workplace investigations.

Similarly, in Australia he helps organisations assess their workplace cultures, behaviours, and leadership in order to assist with identifying deficiencies and recommending solutions.

Areas of Practice

Carlos conducts preliminary investigations, workplace reviews, and workplace investigations across a wide range of matters (bullying, sexual harassment, fraud, victimisation, poor management, among others).

Experience and expertise

Throughout his career, Carlos has collaborated with organisations across diverse sectors, including aeronautical, financial, telecommunications, healthcare, mining, education, energy, and industrial. His experience extends to working with organisations operating under both Civil and Common Law legal systems.

From 2013 to 2017, he was a Teaching Assistant for various employment-related subjects at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru Law School.

Carlos’ native language is Spanish.

Professional and community engagement

Carlos is a member of the Australasian Association of Workplace Investigators (AAWI) and currently assists the organisation as the Marketing and Business Development Advisor. He actively contributes to organising conferences, local circles, and webinars. Carlos also participates in committee meetings and supports various subcommittees with their projects and activities.
