About you

You should have a law degree, 3+ experience either conducting or advising on workplace investigations, and be available to work a minimum equivalent of three days per week. We are flexible with how our staff work and we need you to be the same – sometimes we will need you to work a little more than your regular hours, but you’ll get time off in lieu for the work that you do.

At Justitia, you will be conducting a variety of workplace investigations, preliminary assessments and workplace reviews. There may also be an opportunity to engage in legal advice work, if this is of interest to you and you has the relative skills and experience.

Skills and experience in any of the following areas would be valued:

  • The application of procedural fairness principles to workplace investigations
  • Conducting complex and sensitive workplace investigations into matters such as bullying, sexual harassment and discrimination
  • The application of workplace laws including in relation to bullying, sexual harassment and discrimination to workplace investigations
  • Conducting investigations under the Reportable Conduct Scheme
  • The application of whistleblower and protected disclosure legislation to workplace investigations
  • Conducting investigations for the public sector

You do not need to have all of the above skillsets, but you must have:

  • excellent writing and analytical skills;
  • an ability to work in a manner consistent with Justitia’s highly collaborative and collegiate workplace approach;
  • an ability to work autonomously where required;
  • proven ability to manage multiple matters with often competing deadlines; and
  • an interest and capacity to be client-focussed and contribute to the firm’s efforts in this area.

Applicants should also be prepared to provide referees who can speak to their commitment to teamwork and building strong client relationships, in addition to the qualities outlined above.
