Madeleine brings invaluable experience in compliance and governance to her work in the Investigations branch of Justitia. Madeleine worked as a compliance auditor, in the public health sector, before commencing her legal career in the not-for-profit sector as a policy and governance specialist. Immediately prior to joining Justitia, Madeleine worked in-house for a multinational ASX listed resources company across a variety of legal jurisdictions. Madeleine enjoys uncovering the finer details of a matter to better understand how an issue may have arisen or be solved.

Madeleine is valued member of Justitia’s workplace Investigation’s team. Madeleine’s governance background has helped hone her understanding and practical application of processes. She has project management skills that support the firm’s larger projects that require the tracking of data and detail, whilst also being able to identify big picture themes and risk issues.


Recent examples of work undertaken by Madeleine include:

  • Conducting interviews and desktop reviews as part of scoping processes for workplace review.
  • Assisting with local government workplace investigation.
  • Drafting training materials for HR practitioners on how to conduct a workplace investigation.
  • Assisting with the review and drafting of a Councillor Code of Conduct.

Madeleine is a member of the Australasian Association of Workplace Investigators (AAWI), the Governance Institute of Australia and the Australia Institute of Project Managers. Madeleine is also a board member at a Victorian primary school.
