Trusted Advisors

At the heart of every business are its people, and they need
healthy & dynamic workplaces to thrive.

Justitia is a leading workplace law and consulting firm with a difference. Our name ‘Justitia’ means ‘Lady Justice’ in Latin, and she is the Goddess of Justice in Ancient Roman mythology. As a female-led legal practice, our mission is to help our clients create healthy and dynamic workplaces where people thrive – life is too short to be miserable at work. We feel privileged to work with those who share these goals and want to make a difference.

The Justitia Story

In 2005, two young intrepid lawyers Sarah Rey and Mary-Jane Ierodiaconou had a vision for a different way of practicing law. They launched Justitia in 2005 as a forward-thinking firm that valued flexibility, diversity and a non-hierarchical structure. They prioritised client relationships over billable hours.

The focus on looking after both the firm’s clients and our team remains a priority today. The fact that the firm continues to thrive after so many years is a testament to the success and sustainability of this approach.

The Justitia Circle

Our clients are empowered through collaboration and two-way knowledge sharing. We recognise that the legal answer is only half the solution. So our team offers value in other ways. As part of the Justitia Circle, we’ll connect you to our extensive network of industry partners and contacts, bring in speakers to share their know how and explore with you a suite of strategies to help you achieve your goals.

“The most beneficial aspect of this session is the opportunity to hear different views and insights in a comfortable location”

Acknowledgment of the First Nations Land

Justitia was established in Melbourne in 2005 and we acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the original custodians of the land upon which we live and work. We honour and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging, and extend that respect and appreciation for the thousands of years they have cared for and preserved this country’s lands, waters, and culture. We also acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which we are located, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. We pay respects to the Wurundjeri people and value their continuing connection to land, waters, language, and traditions.
